Well, it’s now shortly after midnight and I just finished changing out the broken glass on the woodstove with the new piece. At about 8:00 this evening a guy from Country Home Outfitters delivered the glass to me at the house. I quickly set out on the task of tearing the door off of the stove to switch out the glass.
I only ran into one major problem. As I began to back out the 8 screws holding the glass in place, three of them twisted off leaving the major portion in the door! I had to go to the school and carefully drill out the broken screws. Two went well but the third was a stuborn sun-of-a-gun! I broke three drill bits attempting to get it out. Eventually I did get the broken part removed and what should have been a 15 minute job turned into a 3 hour job.
It’s just in time too because it’s supposed to get down to zero tonight!
