Well, today we had the first “real” snow of the season. This should be the snow that will stick around. There is about 2 inches on the ground and we had light snowfall all day ranging from tiny whispy flakes to large fat flakes like cotton candy falling from the sky.
Today we went over to Howard and Cindy’s to deliver our stationary bike and to have lunch with them. Howard had t-bones and ribeye steaks which were fantastic. I cooked them on the grill and they were so tender that I had touble turning them without them falling apart.
We returned to the house to watch the Broncos. They were winning and I actually didn’t get to watch more than a few seconds of the game prior to helping Shay with her speedback assignment for her BYU math class and then helping Shawna get her new Keystone math class lined out. We went to the school where I copied the entire workbook so we could have a copy of the original (just in case). Shawna then proceeded to do ten pages in the workbook and to get orientend in the course.
We found out that Shawna has an F in one of her classes and her punishment will be to not have a birthday party this coming weekend. We threatened to take her out of the middle school play “Annie”, but decided against it because she worked hard to get the part she has and was so good in the previous plays. Besides, it’s something she really likes to do. Taking the party away seemed like a more fitting punishment.
We got the mail today and have been waiting on two books from Amazon for Shay and Shawna about middle school math. We got the stupid little yellow slip which says we need to go to the window to pickup a package. I can’t figure out for the life of me why they don’t use the lockers inside the post office and just put the keys in our mailbox instead! It’s annoying.
Trena and I talked about getting the Rosetta Stone software to help the kids learn Spanish. It seems like a very good idea and I have heard very good things about the software. I could certainly use a touch-up.
Trena and the girls watched the end of The Avatar, the Last Airbender this evening. It’s a cartoon we have been following for years but don’t have on DVD so it was kinda special. I updated the XBOX 360 to the newest software by downloading it from XBOX Live. Back to work tomorrow!
